Past Presidential Advisory Council

The Advisory Council acts in an advisory capacity to the current Administration Committee providing recommendations and guidance at their behest.

All past presidents (PP) of MPLA are members of the Past Presidents’ Advisory Council. The current past president chairs the PPAC committee. Note: MPLA will make a best effort to invite all past presidents to meetings, but if a PP is no longer a current member, it may be difficult to contact them. PPAC meetings are held quarterly, and a get-together is planned at each conference.

In 2025, the Past Presidents’ Advisory Council introduced a new Past Presidents’ Scholarship for MPLA Leadership Institute Fellows.  This scholarship is supported by donations from past presidents and awarded to two Leadership Institute fellows who are active members of the Association and aspire to contribute to MPLA in the future.

Past presidents are also encouraged to submit a column of interest to the MPLA newsletter.
